2015 STi in for a paint detail. The paint is in great shape but it really needs a good clay bar. This car is fast. Like hit boost and it turns to a different car fast. Cobb tune/intake, full Invidia titanium exhaust and a kart boy short throw shifter. This car is the tits.

That license plate bracket is hideous

Holes in your front bumper are even more hideous!

The normal WRX is stupidly fast so I can’t begin to imagine the STI

Or put no plate on the front bumper. My state requires them but I have yet to be stopped for it after 5+ years

Absolutely insane. I’ve never seen RPMs spike so quickly when I hit boost.

Great minds think alike? The M3 rolls around Texas without the front plate as well.

And the fact that my friend with the WRX gets really good mileage, I see no reason why there’s so few on the road.

Silly fast, and the way they are geared almost forces you to drive it so. I had an 05' for six months and was pulled over 4 times.

How much do you charge for a detail job + clay?

The full exterior detail, which includes a clay, is $175 for a car this size.

Thanks! I might need to learn to use the clay bar on my own...

Looks beautiful. Job well done.

This was actually before I did any paint work! Took this immediately after pulling in the shop haha
I forgot to take an after picture cause the depth of the paint was unreal.

You definitely should. It really can make the difference between a good paint detail and a crappy one. And it makes your paint smooth as glass when done right.

It was nuts! I hit 60 in second gear legitimately without even trying. It was something else.

What do you use for the glass? I used to use invisiglass, but can’t find it anymore. It was great. It acted like rain x for rain and reduced glare amazingly.

I actually just clay bar the glass! It acts very much like rain-x and reacts to the clay just like paint does. If there’s stuff imbedded in the glass, I’ll run the clay bar over it a few times and it picks up all the crap and also helps repel water. Give it a shot sometime and I think you’ll be surprised!

Follow up response because I forgot to include info:
After running the clay bar over the glass, I just use a regular window spray to clean all the glass. I use a damp rag of some sort to wipe the windows and soak up the window spray. After that I’ll let it dry for 30 seconds to a minute and then go over the glass with a clean microfiber towel to get rid of streaks.
